Lesional psoriasis skin explant culture.
Lesional psoriasis explant culture (up to 48hrs) can be used to evaluate the acute effect of a compound on it’s target and establish doses for later in vivo work.

The imiquimod mouse model of psoriasis.
Compounds (different routes of administration) can be tested for their effects in this quick and well validated mouse model of psoriasis.

The combination of the acute lesional psoriasis skin explant model, the imiquimod mouse model and the chronic transplant model of psoriasis will be of interest to companies as it allows them to routinely develop and screen compounds in vitro and then in vivo at one centre, saving time and money.
